Veterans Memorial Park

Veterans Memorial Park, located in Ontario, California, is a significant community space that serves as both a recreational area and a tribute to veterans. Formerly known as D Street Park, it was acquired in 1972 with assistance from Housing and Urban Development funds. The park spans approximately 97 acres, featuring rolling hills and grassy areas that provide a pleasant environment for visitors.

In recent years, it has been equipped with a 2,200 square foot healthy-themed Ontario child and family resource community center, adding to its value as a family-friendly destination. The park also boasts two new age-appropriate playgrounds, catering to children of different age groups and abilities.

Veterans Memorial Park serves as a connector between two other local parks, Galanis Park and John Galvin Park, creating a continuous green space for the community.
