Great Oaks Park

Great Oaks Park is a public recreational area located in San Jose, California. Spanning 12.3 acres, this park offers a variety of amenities for visitors of all ages. The park is situated in the southeastern part of San Jose, east of Snell Road and south of Hellyer Park.

The park features a diverse range of facilities catering to different interests and age groups. For sports enthusiasts, Great Oaks Park provides multiple options including a skate park, an unlighted softball field, and two basketball courts. Soccer fields are also available, though their use is restricted to permit holders only.

Families with children will appreciate the playground areas, which are divided into two sections: one for children aged 2-5 and another for those aged 5-12. This age-appropriate division ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for younger visitors.

Great Oaks Park also includes picnic areas equipped with barbecue facilities, offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy outdoor meals in a pleasant setting. These picnic spots are non-reservable and operate on a first-come, first-served basis, encouraging spontaneous gatherings and community interaction.
