Cellon Oak Park is a small public park located in Gainesville, Florida, centered around an impressive live oak tree known as the Cellon Oak. This tree is recognized as Florida's largest live oak in terms of crown spread, measuring an average of 160 feet across. The oak's circumference is approximately 30 feet, and it stands 91 feet tall, making it a co-champion live oak in the state.
The park is named after Ralph W. Cellon, the former landowner who owned the property before it was acquired by Alachua County. The park was established to protect and preserve this remarkable tree, allowing public access to view and appreciate its grandeur.
