About Miami Beach Convention Center Park in Miami

Pride Park is a 5.8-acre public park located in Miami Beach, Florida, directly across from the Miami Beach Convention Center. The park opened in 2019 after being converted from a former parking lot for the convention center.

Pride Park was named to show support for the LGBTQ+ community as well as to promote civic pride in Miami Beach. It is part of the Miami Beach City Center Campus in the convention center district, along with other attractions like the Miami Beach Botanical Garden.

The park features over 500 trees and tropical landscaping to provide shaded areas for visitors. A central lawn offers open green space for recreation and events. Pride Park also includes walkways for strolling and a veterans' memorial plaza.

As a flexible outdoor venue, Pride Park was designed to host various events throughout the year. It has been used for gatherings during major events like Art Basel Miami, Design Miami, and the Miami International Boat Show. The park also serves as a location for Miami Beach Pride celebration activities annually.

Public art is prominently featured in Pride Park. This includes two notable sculptures - "Bent Pool" by artists Elmgreen & Dragset and "Minna" by Jaume Plensa. The 16-foot tall "Minna" sculpture was donated to the park in 2022.
