Jose Marti Park

José Martí Park is a 1.7-acre green space located along the Miami River in the Little Havana neighborhood of Miami, Florida. Named after the Cuban patriot and poet José Martí, who dedicated his life to the cause of Cuban independence, the park serves as a cherished community gathering spot.

The area underneath the nearby I-95 was once home to Indian camps dating back to around 400 A.D. Archaeological excavations in 1982 uncovered pottery shards, shell tools, projectile points, and even an Indian woman's grave, highlighting the rich history of the area.
