Sabal Chase Park is a neighborhood park located in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The park spans 4.43 acres and offers recreational facilities for local residents. In 2022, the park received significant upgrades, including a new nature-based playground designed to encourage children to spend more time outdoors and develop an appreciation for nature through play.
The centerpiece of Sabal Chase Park is its 4,510-square-foot playground area. This newly constructed play space features inclusive equipment to engage children of all abilities. The playground incorporates natural elements, with play mounds and Australian pine logs providing additional seating and play experiences. Equipment includes climbing nets, a double tower, spring riders, swings, a play and learn panel, and musical instruments.
Surrounding the playground, the park's landscaping creates a serene environment with magnificent trees and vibrant native pollinator plants. The site includes concrete walkways, benches, and bike racks to enhance accessibility and comfort for visitors. Five new oak trees were planted as part of the 2022 improvements, along with sod and native pollinator-attracting plants.
Sabal Chase Park operates under a joint use agreement with the neighboring William H. Lehman Elementary School. This arrangement allows for shared use of the park's facilities, including its athletic courts. The park is open from sunrise to sunset, providing ample opportunity for community members to enjoy its amenities throughout the day.
