Madison Street Park

Madison Street Park is a small urban park located in the Channel District of Tampa, Florida. Opened in 2020, this 0.8-acre green space was designed to serve the growing residential population in the area. The park was developed on a former brownfield site, transforming an industrial plot into a community gathering space.

The park features a modern industrial theme as a tribute to the area's industrial past. Its design incorporates residents' preferences, making it fully accessible to pedestrians, cyclists, and those with limited mobility. The park offers a variety of outdoor recreational options for visitors of all ages and activity levels.

A notable feature of Madison Street Park is a 51-foot arched bench consisting of thousands of pieces of hand-blown glass, created by local artist Susan Gott. This artistic element adds a unique visual appeal to the park, blending art with functionality.

Despite its small size, Madison Street Park maximizes its space efficiently, providing a range of amenities for community use. The park includes both active and passive recreation areas, catering to different interests and age groups.
