Walker Park

Walker Park is a neighborhood park located in Atlanta, Georgia. Situated on approximately 8 acres of land, this green space offers a variety of recreational opportunities for local residents and visitors. The park is nestled in the Southeast corner of the Edgewood community and sits on what was once a Civil War battleground, adding historical significance to the area.

The park features a large open green space, providing ample room for casual sports and picnicking. A paved pathway encircles this area, offering a convenient route for walking or jogging. For families with children, Walker Park includes a playground equipped with multiple slides, climbing structures, a teeter-totter, and swings. The playground's surface is covered with wood chips, though it lacks shade cover.

Fitness enthusiasts can take advantage of the outdoor fitness equipment, which includes a horizontal ladder, pull-up bar, and leg raise station. The park also boasts an outdoor inline hockey rink, converted from a former tennis court, adding a unique recreational option for visitors.
