Blanchard Park

Blanchard Park is a 25-acre public recreational area located in Martinez, Georgia, which is part of the Augusta metropolitan area. The park, managed by Columbia County, offers a variety of outdoor facilities for sports and leisure activities.

Conveniently situated off South Belair Road, Blanchard Park provides several sports fields that cater to different athletic pursuits. The park features a baseball/softball field and two football fields that can also be used for lacrosse. These fields are available for rent, with different rates applying for daytime and evening use (when field lighting is required).

In addition to the sports fields, Blanchard Park includes tennis courts and batting cages for those looking to practice their serves or swings. For younger visitors, there is a playground area with jungle gym equipment, offering a space for children to play and climb. Adjacent to the playground, a covered picnic area provides a convenient spot for families to enjoy meals outdoors.

For those seeking exercise or a leisurely stroll, Blanchard Park offers a paved walking trail that encircles the sports fields, stretching approximately 0.75 miles. Beyond this, visitors can explore a wooded trail that extends the walking course to 2.75 miles, featuring some slopes and hills. This natural trail is suitable for walking dogs or for more intense cross-country workouts.

The park is open daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, providing ample time for community members to enjoy its facilities throughout the day. Restroom facilities are available on-site for visitor convenience.
