About Memorial Park in Boise

Memorial Park is a 7-acre neighborhood park located in northeast Boise, Idaho. The park provides a peaceful green space for local residents and visitors.

Originally known as Union Park, Memorial Park has been an important part of Boise's North End neighborhood for many years. The park is divided into two sections by North 6th Street, which runs through the middle. Its location adjacent to the Federal Building and Military Reserve near the Veterans Administration makes it easily accessible.

The park offers open grassy areas that allow for various recreational activities and relaxation. Visitors can enjoy picnicking, casual sports, or simply lounging on the grass. A playground provides entertainment for children, making it a popular spot for families.

Memorial Park maintains restroom facilities for visitor convenience, though these are typically closed during winter months. The park is open from sunrise to sunset, allowing ample time for enjoyment throughout the day.

As with other Boise city parks, smoking and vaping are prohibited in Memorial Park, including within 20 feet of the Boise River Greenbelt, to maintain a clean and healthy environment for all visitors.
