About Fairview Park in Boise

Fairview Park is a neighborhood park located west of downtown Boise, Idaho. The park covers just under 2 acres and was acquired by the city in 1926. It is situated in an area formerly known as Agricultural Park, which served as Boise's fairgrounds and horse racing track from 1875 to 1897.

The park offers open play areas and various recreational facilities for visitors. It is open from sunrise to sunset daily. On-street parking is available for those visiting the park.

Boise Parks and Recreation has plans to invest in improvements to Fairview Park in 2025. The existing tennis courts, basketball court and playground will be replaced and updated. A new accessible playground will be installed with equipment for children to spin, swing, slide and climb. The existing restroom will also be upgraded and van accessible parking will be added on Bannock Street.

Alcoholic beverages, including beer and wine, are prohibited in Fairview Park. As with all City of Boise parks, smoking and vaping are also not allowed, except in designated areas.
