About Redwood Park in Boise

Redwood Park is a 7-acre neighborhood park located in West Boise, Idaho near the intersection of Ustick Road and North Five Mile Road. The park was purchased by the City of Boise in 1994 from Cloverdale Nursery with the intention of developing it into a community green space.

The park features open grassy areas suitable for various recreational activities and picnicking. A walking path winds through the park, providing visitors with an opportunity for light exercise and leisurely strolls. One of the park's main attractions is its fishing pond, which offers a peaceful spot for anglers.

Redwood Park is also notable for its off-leash dog area. Dogs are permitted to be off-leash during specific hours: from sunrise to 10:00 a.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to sunset. Outside of these designated times, dogs must be kept on a leash.

The park includes amenities for children, featuring a playground suitable for ages 2-12. The playground surface is made of wood chips, providing a safe play environment. For visitors' convenience, restroom facilities are available and open year-round.

Redwood Park serves as a valuable community resource, offering a blend of recreational opportunities for residents of all ages. Its mix of open spaces, walking paths, and specific-use areas make it a versatile outdoor destination in the Boise parks system.
