Commercial Club Park

Commercial Club Park, also referred to as Commercial Club Playground, is a compact yet vibrant park located in the West Town neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. Situated on W. Rice Street, the park spans an area of 1.52 acres and is deeply rooted in local history. Originally conceived in 1903 by the Commercial Club of Chicago, a prominent business organization, the park was established to provide recreational space in a densely populated urban setting. Over the years, the park has evolved with several enhancements, including the addition of a fieldhouse and other amenities.

The park's facilities cater to a wide range of community activities. It features a fieldhouse equipped with a kitchen and gymnasium, a variety of sports areas, and specialized play zones with rubberized surfaces for accessibility. Notably, the park hosts community events such as movie nights during the summer and seasonal sports programs for children.
