Gartner Park

Gartner Park is a public recreational area located on Gartner Road in Naperville, Illinois. The park offers a variety of facilities for outdoor activities and sports, catering to visitors of all ages.

During the winter months, Gartner Park becomes a popular destination for cold weather activities. It features a sled hill that opens when there are two or more inches of snow present and the soil is frozen. Both sledding and snowboarding are permitted on this hill. The park also includes an ice skating rink, which is available when weather conditions allow. Unlike some other rinks in Naperville, the one at Gartner Park is unlighted and closes one hour after sunset.

For warmer seasons, Gartner Park provides ample space for various outdoor pursuits. The park includes sports fields suitable for activities like soccer and touch football. It also features softball fields, with at least two youth softball diamonds available.

Families with children can enjoy the playground facilities at Gartner Park. The park offers play equipment suitable for different age groups, including a set designed for children under 3 years old and another for children up to 12 years of age.

Gartner Park is part of the Naperville Park District, which maintains over 2,400 acres of parkland across 137 parks in the city.
