Flat Fork Creek Park

Flat Fork Creek Park, located in Fishers, Indiana, is a 60-acre environmental and recreational park designed to connect visitors with nature and provide diverse outdoor activities. Situated at 16141 E 101st Street, the park features rolling hills, wooded areas, and a creek, offering an escape into a scenic natural environment. Formerly farmland, the park has been transformed into a multi-level outdoor space incorporating reforestation and eco-friendly designs.

One of the park’s highlights is its 60-foot sledding hill, the tallest point in Hamilton County, which offers winter fun for families and year-round views of the surrounding area. For adventure seekers, the park boasts a 2-mile progressive mountain bike course with ramps and technical features, suitable for both beginners and experienced riders. A 1.5-mile paved and unpaved trail network, including an elevated boardwalk, allows hikers and nature enthusiasts to explore the area’s diverse ecosystems.

Flat Fork Creek Park is also home to a fishing pond, where visitors can enjoy catch-and-release fishing with a state license (exempt for ages 17 and under). Unique treehouses, accessible for all abilities, offer elevated views of the park and serve as an ideal spot for observing local wildlife. Inclusive design is a priority at the park, with ADA-compliant features such as the paved ramps leading to the top of the sledding hill.

The park includes environmentally focused features, including 20 acres of reforestation and habitat protection, as well as 12 acres of newly planted native trees and 32 acres of native seeding. These efforts create space for sustainable habitat restoration while maintaining recreational appeal.

Picnic areas are available, with a covered shelter that can be rented for family gatherings and events. Visitors will also find heated restrooms and parking for convenience, making it a family-friendly destination year-round.
