Packard Park, located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is a 4.5-acre public park that has served as a community hub for recreation and leisure since 1937. The park is currently undergoing a $1.9 million redevelopment to enhance its facilities and provide improved recreational opportunities. These updates, set to be completed by the summer of 2025, reflect five years of planning and community involvement. Significant updates to the park include the installation of two new playgrounds—one tailored for preschoolers and another for elementary-aged children. These play areas will complement the existing Beasley Outdoor Futsal Courts, which were added in 2018. Other new features include a spacious event lawn and an event plaza designed for gatherings and community activities. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the improved landscaping, which incorporates shade and ornamental trees, alongside a 1/8-mile perimeter walking path that enhances accessibility and pedestrian connections to surrounding neighborhoods.

Packard Park retains its open-air pavilion with picnic tables and restrooms, which remain a cornerstone of the park’s functionality for casual gatherings.
