Prairie Heights Park

Prairie Heights Park is a 220-acre community park located in Davenport, Iowa. The park features a diverse range of recreational facilities and natural spaces, serving as a popular destination for local residents and visitors alike.

The park's landscape includes both developed areas for sports and recreation as well as more natural spaces. A notable feature is the trail system that winds through the northern section of the park, connecting to the Davenport Public Library's Eastern Avenue Branch. This trail provides opportunities for walking, jogging, and enjoying the park's natural beauty.

Prairie Heights Park is home to several sports facilities, including multiple baseball diamonds. One of these, known as the Miracle Field, is an all-inclusive baseball field designed to be accessible for players of all abilities. This field, which officially opened in September 2019, demonstrates the park's commitment to inclusive recreation.

For families and children, the park offers playground equipment and benches for relaxation. The southern area of the park contains additional amenities, including a concession stand, restroom facilities, a drinking fountain, and a picnic shelter, making it well-suited for community gatherings and events.

Access to the park is convenient, with entrances from Mississippi Avenue and Olde Brandy Lane, both adjacent to the Davenport Public Library. Parking is available at the library and near the ball fields at the south end of the park.
