The park features a 7-mile paved multipurpose trail that runs east to west through the city, following the course of Jordan Creek for much of its route. Jordan Creek Park includes several access points, with four trailheads strategically located along the path: Westridge School Trailhead, Southwoods Park Trailhead, Jordan Creek Park Trailhead, and Fairmeadows Park Trailhead. These multiple entry points enhance accessibility for residents from different parts of the city.
One notable feature of the park is the Jordan Creek Community Gardens, where local residents can rent 10' x 10' garden plots for a modest annual fee. This amenity allows community members to grow their own produce and flowers, fostering a sense of community and promoting sustainable practices.
The park also houses an Info Hub and Bike Repair Station, located just west of 50th Street. This facility provides bicyclists and other trail users with a convenient location to perform basic bike maintenance and access information about the Central Iowa Trails network.
