Fairmount Park

Fairmount Park, located in northeast Wichita, Kansas, is a 10-acre community park acquired in 1925. It is situated near Hillside and 13th Street, adjacent to the Wichita State University campus. This park serves as a neighborhood hub, combining recreational amenities and community facilities. The park features expansive open spaces, several sports courts, and family-friendly attractions, making it a versatile location for leisure and events.

One of the standout features of Fairmount Park is its community facility, which can accommodate up to 60 people. This facility is ideal for hosting gatherings such as birthdays, reunions, or showers. The park is also well-equipped for outdoor activities, with a baseball/softball diamond, a basketball court, a futsal court, a tennis court, and a volleyball court. In recent years, upgrades to the sports areas include the replacement of one of the tennis courts with a futsal court.
