Green Hill Park

Green Hill Park is the largest municipal park in Worcester, Massachusetts, spanning over 480 acres. The park has a rich history, having been transformed from wilderness to farmland, then to a country estate, and finally to the public park it is today. It was originally part of the Green family estate before being acquired by the City of Worcester in 1905.

Located atop one of Worcester's seven main hills, Green Hill Park offers unique vistas and panoramas of the city. The park features rolling hills, mature woodlands, and open spaces, providing a diverse landscape for visitors to enjoy. At its core lies Green Hill Pond, a 30-acre "great pond" that serves as a focal point for many park activities.

The park is home to the Massachusetts Vietnam Veterans' Memorial, which was dedicated in June 2002 to honor veterans of the Vietnam War from Massachusetts. This memorial adds historical significance to the park and serves as a place of reflection and remembrance.

Green Hill Park is designed for multi-use recreation, catering to a wide range of interests and activities. It includes various sporting facilities, natural areas for exploration, and spaces for leisurely activities. The park is open year-round from 5 AM to 10 PM daily, allowing visitors to enjoy its amenities throughout the seasons.
