Terry Park

Terry Park is a 4-acre city park located in the Gate District of St. Louis, Missouri. Established in 1945, the park was named in honor of Dr. Robert James Terry, a prominent figure known for his contributions to medical literature and his involvement in founding the association that later became the St. Louis Audubon Society.

The park is bordered by Eads Avenue to the north, Louisiana Avenue to the east, Henrietta Street to the south, and S. Compton Avenue to the east. Its central location offers easy access to major highways and nearby medical centers, making it a convenient recreational space for local residents.

Terry Park features a mix of recreational facilities and natural elements. The park includes mature trees that provide shade around the playgrounds, as well as newer plantings such as bald cypress trees along S. Compton Avenue. These newer trees are expected to enhance the park's aesthetic appeal as they mature over the next decade.
