Cabezon Park

Cabezon Park is a 13-acre public recreational area located in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Situated off Cabezon Boulevard, the park serves as a central gathering place for the community, offering a variety of outdoor activities and amenities for visitors of all ages.

The park features a 0.63-mile walking loop, which is approximately 1,331 steps in length. This paved path provides an accessible route for walkers, joggers, and those seeking a leisurely stroll. The trail is categorized as a Grade 1 difficulty level, making it suitable for most fitness levels.

Cabezon Park includes open grassy areas that are ideal for picnics, casual sports, or simply relaxing outdoors. The park is dog-friendly, allowing visitors to bring their canine companions to enjoy the open spaces, provided they are kept on a leash and cleaned up after.

For families with children, the park offers a playground designed for ages 3-12, providing a safe and fun environment for younger visitors. The playground area is complemented by nearby picnic tables and benches, allowing parents to supervise while enjoying the outdoor setting.
