Frazier Park

Frazier Park is a 16.5-acre urban park located in the Third Ward of Charlotte, North Carolina. The park offers a variety of recreational facilities and natural features for visitors to enjoy.

The park is part of Charlotte's Irwin Creek Greenway system, with paved and gravel trails running alongside Irwin Creek. These trails provide opportunities for walking, jogging, and cycling while enjoying the natural surroundings.

One of the unique features of Frazier Park is the Children's Memorial Walkway, a special area within the park dedicated to honoring the memory of children from Charlotte who have passed away. This memorial includes engraved bricks, cherry trees, benches, sculptures of children at play, and an inscribed monument. Each January, families of homicide victims gather here for a ceremony of remembrance.

Frazier Park serves as a valuable green space in the heart of Charlotte, offering residents and visitors a place to relax, exercise, and connect with nature. Its proximity to downtown Charlotte also makes it an occasional staging ground for city-approved demonstrations and protest marches.
