C. R. Wood Park is a 17.4-acre public park located in southeast Durham, North Carolina. The park is named after C.R. Wood, the first and long-serving Director of Durham's Parks and Recreation Department.
Situated in the Commonwealth Street area, C. R. Wood Park offers a variety of recreational facilities for visitors of all ages. The park features both active and passive recreation areas, catering to diverse interests and activities.
One of the park's main attractions is its youth baseball and softball field, providing a space for local teams and aspiring young athletes to practice and compete. Additionally, the park includes a basketball court for those who enjoy shooting hoops or playing pickup games.
