Trosper Park

Trosper Park is a large public park located in southeast Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The park covers an extensive area and offers a diverse range of outdoor recreational facilities and natural spaces for visitors to enjoy.

The park's history dates back to 1909, when Frank Trosper offered to sell some of his land to the city for a southeast park at a reduced price, on the condition that it be named Trosper Park. Initially remaining in a wild state and used mainly as a boy scout campground, the park saw significant development in the following decades.

Trosper Park features a mix of wooded areas and open spaces, providing a natural retreat within the urban environment. The landscape includes creeks and ponds, adding to the park's scenic beauty. One of the park's central attractions is its 18-hole golf course, which opened in 1927. The Trosper Golf Club is known for its player-friendly layout, with expansive putting greens and generous landing areas. The course stretches roughly 6,600 yards and is maintained to high standards year-round.

The park includes playgrounds for children, tennis courts for sports enthusiasts, and open areas suitable for picnicking and casual recreation. For more adventurous visitors, the park also features amenities like an archery range and a BMX course.
