About Videra Park in Eugene
Videra Park is a 7.73 acre neighborhood park located in the far south of the Churchill neighborhood in Eugene, Oregon. The property was purchased by the city in 2003, with construction completed in 2008. The park is bounded by Hawkins Lane, Randy Lane, Herald Lane, Blacktail Drive and West 29th Avenue, with Randy Lane forming the northern boundary.
A significant portion of Videra Park is dedicated to natural areas, containing one of the headwaters of Videra Creek. This creek eventually flows into the stormwater pipe system and empties into Amazon Creek at Bailey Hill Road. The park also includes a stormwater treatment facility located in its westernmost section.
The developed features of Videra Park cater to community needs with a small ADA accessible children's play area. This area includes a wooden play structure and swings. For visitors' convenience, the park provides a picnic table, drinking fountain, bench, and bike rack. The park's infrastructure also includes sidewalks, street trees, and landscaping. A vegetated swale along Blacktail Drive helps to treat stormwater runoff, contributing to the park's environmental management efforts.
