About Red Sunset Park in Gresham
Red Sunset Park is a 14.2-acre community park located in the North Central Neighborhood of Gresham, Oregon. The park features a one-acre pond with a fountain, providing a scenic focal point for visitors. Two gazebos situated near the pond offer pleasant views of the park's landscape.
A popular 0.67-mile walking path encircles the park's perimeter, providing an excellent opportunity for exercise and leisurely strolls. The path is well-maintained and suitable for both walking and jogging.
The park includes two group picnic shelters that can be reserved for events or used on a first-come, first-served basis for smaller gatherings. These shelters, named Sunset Shelter and Lakeview Shelter, each contain 10 tables with an estimated seating capacity of 100 people. Additionally, there are waterside picnic tables available for smaller groups.
Red Sunset Park serves as a venue for the City's Summer Kids in the Park program, which offers free lunch and recreational activities for youth from June through August. This program helps to engage local children and families during the summer months.
