About Beavers Bend Park in Frisco
Beavers Bend Park is a 26-acre neighborhood park located in Frisco, Texas, at the intersection of Legacy Road and Lebanon Road. The park was developed in two phases, with Phase 1 completed in 2006 and Phase 2 in 2010.
The park features multiple paved walking trails, including a 1.2-mile trail that extends from Beavers Bend Park to 4th Army Drive. This trail is part of the larger Beavers Bend Trail system and will eventually connect with the B.F. Phillips Sports Complex. The park offers a mix of trail difficulties, with one paved and shaded path suitable for younger children, and more challenging routes for older children and adults.
A notable feature of Beavers Bend Park is its pond, which adds to the scenic beauty of the area. The park also houses an active beaver colony in its wetland area, which contributes to preventing erosion downstream.
For families with children, the park provides a large playground with separate areas for different age groups. The main play structure is designed for school-aged children and includes features such as a kid-sized rock wall, slides, and stairs. There's also a dedicated area for younger children aged 2-5.
Beavers Bend Park offers numerous spots for relaxation and gatherings, with shaded benched picnic areas scattered throughout. However, visitors should note that the park does not have restroom facilities, which may be inconvenient for some.
