Windsurf Bay Park is a 42-acre public park located on the western shore of Lake Ray Hubbard in Garland, Texas. Situated approximately one mile south of Interstate 30, the park offers visitors scenic views of the lake and access to its shoreline.
The park features a large open grassy area sloping down to the water, providing ample space for picnicking, relaxation, and lake viewing. A medium-sized pavilion equipped with a grill can accommodate around 25 people, making it suitable for small gatherings. Near the pavilion, visitors will find a small playground area with parking conveniently located nearby.
For those interested in recreational activities, Windsurf Bay Park includes a half-court basketball court and a sand volleyball court. Visitors are advised to bring their own balls for these amenities. As its name suggests, the park is also a popular spot for windsurfing enthusiasts, though visitors should note that swimming is not permitted in the park area.
The park is open Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. It closes at noon on Friday and remains closed through Monday morning. Additionally, the park is closed on all holidays. Visitors should be aware that the City of Garland monitors attendance, particularly during busy periods such as holidays, to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all park-goers.
