John M Hayes Park at Rosehill is a largely undeveloped green space located in Garland, Texas. The park spans 85.2 total acres, with only 10.2 acres currently developed for recreational use. Situated across from Lyles Middle School, this natural area offers visitors a chance to experience the native flora of the region.
During the spring months, the park becomes a scenic destination for nature enthusiasts. Visitors may be treated to a beautiful display of Texas' state flower, the bluebonnet, which blooms in abundance across the park's landscape.
While much of the park remains in its natural state, it does feature some basic amenities for public use. A short concrete walking trail, measuring 0.3 miles in length, provides an opportunity for visitors to enjoy a leisurely stroll through the park's serene environment.
