About Tuckerville Park in Garland
Tuckerville Park is an undeveloped piece of park property located in the eastern portion of Garland, Texas. The park sits on 62.5 acres of land off of Highway 66. Currently, the park consists primarily of natural wooded areas.
While the park remains largely undeveloped at present, it has been designated as the site for future park development by the city of Garland. Plans are underway to transform Tuckerville Park into a major recreational facility for the community.
The first phase of development for Tuckerville Park includes the construction of the Bob Day Tennis Complex. This project will feature a 3,700-square-foot pro shop with clubhouse, 12 tennis courts, a park entry drive, and supporting parking facilities. The plans also include site work, utilities, and a detention pond/bioswale to prepare for future expansion of park amenities.
Additional proposed features for the tennis complex include a spectator pavilion, food truck bays, picnic areas, and connections to sidewalks and trails. The city aims to create a multi-use recreational space that will serve tennis enthusiasts as well as families looking for outdoor activities.
As development progresses, Tuckerville Park is expected to become a significant recreational asset for Garland residents, offering both natural areas and modern sports facilities.
