Originally opened in 2003, Bagby Park underwent significant renovations in 2021 to enhance its facilities and appearance. The park features a lush, shaded lawn area surrounded by Mexican sycamores and Shumard red oaks, providing a refreshing respite from the urban environment.

One of the park's notable features is the iconic Midtown letters, which have become a popular photo spot for visitors. The park also includes a stage area with improved lighting and a canopy, making it suitable for outdoor performances and community events such as movie nights and markets.

Bagby Park incorporates practical amenities to serve the community's needs. A repurposed shipping container houses La Calle Tacos, offering food and beverage options to park-goers. The 2021 renovations also brought upgraded restroom facilities and improved drainage to the park.

Accessibility is a key feature of Bagby Park, with metered parking available along adjacent streets and nearby parking garages. The park is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., welcoming visitors throughout the week.
