About Lake Park in Lewisville
Lake Park is a sprawling 662-acre park located along the shoreline of Lake Lewisville in Texas, just east of Mill Street and approximately three-quarters of a mile east of I-35. The park is operated by the City of Lewisville on property leased from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The park can be divided into four major areas: the Lake Park Golf Course, athletic facilities, day use areas, and lake-related uses. The lake-related uses, including campgrounds, beaches, docks, boat ramps, and picnic facilities, attract visitors from across the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
Lake Park offers a wide range of recreational activities. It features an 18-hole golf course, as well as an 18-hole disc golf course. For sports enthusiasts, there are multiple lighted fields for soccer, baseball, softball, and football. The park also includes playgrounds, swimming beaches, boat ramps, and courtesy docks.
Camping facilities are available within the park, complete with restrooms and picnic shelters. For larger gatherings, the park offers the Conner Pavilion and Pike Pavilion, as well as a group picnic area.
Lake Park's natural setting, with its abundance of trees and proximity to Lake Lewisville, provides visitors with opportunities for various outdoor activities including fishing, boating, and wildlife observation.
