Horizon Park

Horizon Park is a 6-acre neighborhood park in McKinney, Texas, situated adjacent to Minshew Elementary School on Flatrock Drive. This public recreational space serves the local community with a variety of outdoor amenities.

The park features a barrier-free play structure, making it accessible to children of all abilities. Swings are also available for young visitors to enjoy. For water play during hot Texas summers, Horizon Park includes a splash pad where children can cool off and have fun.

A hike and bike trail winds through the park, offering opportunities for walking, jogging, or cycling. The park also contains an open turf area that can be used for informal soccer games or other field activities. An amphitheater provides a space for small gatherings or performances.

Horizon Park includes two picnic shelters available on a first-come, first-served basis, though these do not have electricity. While the park offers several amenities, it's worth noting that there are no public restrooms on site.

The park is open from 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, with lights in the parking area remaining on until closing time. There are 12 parking spaces available for visitors.
