Lady Bird Johnson Park

Lady Bird Johnson Park is a 330-acre recreational area located in San Antonio, Texas. The park offers a variety of outdoor activities and facilities for visitors to enjoy.

The park features a 0.6-mile paved walking trail along Salado Creek, providing opportunities for exercise and nature appreciation. The Salado Creek Greenway runs through the park, connecting it to other parts of San Antonio's trail system. This allows visitors to extend their walks or bike rides beyond the park's boundaries.

Lady Bird Johnson Park is home to the popular Alva Jo Fischer softball complex, which consists of multiple softball fields used for local leagues and tournaments. The park also houses the Lou Hamilton Community Center, which offers various programs and activities for residents.

One of the park's unique features is San Antonio's first public skate park. This 7,000-square-foot skate bowl ranges from five to nine feet deep, providing skateboarders with a challenging and enjoyable experience. Adjacent to the skate bowl is an 1,800-square-foot deck with a five-foot quarter ramp, offering additional skating options.

The park includes several other recreational facilities, such as basketball courts, tennis courts, and a baseball field. For families with children, there are playgrounds available.
