The park features a 0.5-mile trail that connects to the larger Rose Rudman Recreational Trail system, providing residents and visitors with opportunities for walking, jogging, and biking.

Parking is available on the street adjacent to the park and in a dedicated parking lot on the far south side of the park, accessible from Rieck Road. This arrangement provides convenient access for visitors arriving by car.
The City of Tyler Parks and Recreation Department maintains Southside Park, ensuring it remains a clean and safe environment for community enjoyment. The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset, with trails accessible from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., allowing for extended use during summer months.
