Bridal Veil Falls Park

Bridal Veil Falls is a natural waterfall located in Provo Canyon, Utah, approximately 4 miles northeast of Provo. The falls cascade down a 607-foot cliff face, creating a double cataract formation that resembles a bridal veil, hence its name.

The waterfall is fed by springs on Cascade Mountain and flows year-round, though its volume varies with seasonal snowmelt and rainfall. In winter, the falls often freeze, creating dramatic ice formations that attract ice climbers from around the world.

Visitors can view the falls from a paved trail that runs along the Provo River. This trail, part of the Provo River Parkway, is accessible to pedestrians and cyclists. While the base of the falls can be reached via a short, steep hike, visitors are advised to exercise caution as the terrain can be slippery and potentially dangerous.

Bridal Veil Falls Park, located near the base of the falls, offers picnic areas and access to the Provo River. The park provides a peaceful setting for visitors to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the canyon.

Historically, the site featured an aerial tramway and restaurant at the top of the falls, but these were destroyed by an avalanche in 1996 and subsequently removed. Today, the area is preserved in its natural state, offering visitors a glimpse of Utah's scenic beauty.
