Upper Falls Park

Upper Falls Park is a small, scenic area located in Provo Canyon, Utah. Situated along the old highway between Bridal Veil Falls and Vivian Park, this park offers visitors a peaceful respite in the heart of the canyon. The park is nestled at a bend in the Provo River, providing easy access to the water and beautiful views of the surrounding Wasatch Mountains.

The main attraction of Upper Falls Park is its proximity to the Upper Falls of the Provo River. While smaller and less known than the nearby Bridal Veil Falls, the Upper Falls offer a more secluded and intimate waterfall experience. Visitors can enjoy the sound of rushing water and the cool mist from the falls, especially refreshing during hot summer months.

The park serves as a starting point for a short but steep hiking trail that leads to the Upper Falls. This trail, though only about 0.6 miles long, offers a moderate challenge due to its elevation gain. Hikers are rewarded with close-up views of the 40-foot waterfall at the end of the trail.

Upper Falls Park is managed by the U.S. Forest Service but maintained by Utah County.
