Mill Point Park

Mill Point Park is a scenic waterfront green space located in downtown Hampton, Virginia. Situated along the Hampton River, this park offers visitors splendid views of the waterway, passing boats, and local wildlife. Open to the public from 7:00 am until sunset daily, Mill Point Park provides a tranquil setting for evening walks or quiet lunches. The park features open areas and tree-shaded benches, allowing patrons to enjoy the waterfront view in the heart of Downtown Hampton. Parking is convenient and free, available either on-street or in the adjacent Eaton Street Parking Garage.

Mill Point Park is also a hub for local festivities and special events. The park's layout includes a stage and amphitheater seating, making it an ideal venue for intimate concerts and weddings. The interior of the park is enclosed with controlled access points and equipped with electrical service, facilitating its use for various festival settings.

In addition to its recreational features, Mill Point Park is the site of an ongoing environmental project. A living shoreline is being installed around the park's extent to improve water quality in the Hampton River and help the city meet its pollution reduction goals. This project, expected to be completed by summer 2025, will create a more varied and interesting landscape for residents and visitors to enjoy while also stabilizing the shoreline and reducing wave energy impacts.
