Boxcar Park

Boxcar Park is a public open space located in Everett, Washington, situated along the city's waterfront. The park covers approximately 2 acres and is part of the Port of Everett's Waterfront Place Central development.

Boxcar Park features a large grassy area that provides visitors with views of the marina and boating traffic. The park serves as a gathering space for community events and recreational activities. It includes two seasonal kite-style shelters equipped with picnic tables, as well as benches overlooking the waterfront.

A notable feature of Boxcar Park is the historic Weyerhaeuser Building, which was relocated to the park in 2016. This structure, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, adds a touch of local history to the park's landscape. The Port of Everett has plans to renovate the building in the future to create a unique community space.

Boxcar Park hosts various events throughout the year, particularly during spring and summer months. These events include outdoor movies, waterfront concerts, and car shows. The park's location and amenities make it suitable for picnics, frisbee games, and leisurely walks.

It's worth noting that kite flying is no longer permitted in Boxcar Park due to safety concerns related to nearby power lines.
