Eastridge Park

Eastridge Park is a neighborhood park located in Kent, Washington. The park covers 4.62 acres and is situated just west of Morrill Meadows Park, about half a block away. It offers a variety of recreational facilities for visitors of all ages.

The park features a play structure that is more accommodating than the one in the neighboring park. It includes three slides: a tube slide, a twisty slide, and a short toddler slide. There are also a couple of stairways leading up to the play structure, with one being steeper and more ladder-like than typical stairs.

For those who enjoy sand play, Eastridge Park has a rocky sand pit complete with a built-in digger. This area is perfect for children to bring sand toys, buckets, shovels, and trucks for imaginative play.

The park offers a picnic area under a large tree, which overlooks the nearby play structure from a grassy perch above a retaining wall. This spot provides an ideal location for families to relax and enjoy a meal while keeping an eye on children playing nearby.

For sports enthusiasts, Eastridge Park includes a tennis court and basketball hoops. These facilities allow visitors to engage in active recreation and practice their skills.

One notable feature of the park is its small parking area, which only has seven spots. However, there is overflow parking available at the Kent United Methodist Church located next door to the west.

It's worth noting that the park has a drainage ditch located within a few feet of the play area. While not particularly deep or steep, it can become mucky after rain, creating swampy conditions in the surrounding shallower areas.

The park includes clean, regularly maintained restrooms attached to the picnic shelter. These facilities include a changing table in the women's restroom for added convenience.

Eastridge Park welcomes dogs on leashes and provides a doggie waste station for pet owners' convenience. Many dog owners use the park as a starting point before walking the short distance to the neighboring Morrill Meadows Off-Leash Dog Park.
