About Thomas Teasdale Park in Renton

Thomas Teasdale Park is a 10-acre neighborhood park located in Renton, Washington. Named after a former park board member, this green space offers a variety of recreational opportunities for both children and adults. The park is surrounded by tall evergreen trees, providing ample shade during sunny summer days.

The park features a renovated play structure connected to a picnic shelter by a paved trail. In July 2021, the park underwent improvements with the replacement of its basketball court. This project, identified by the Citizens Advisory Committee in 2018 and included in the 2019 Parks Bond, involved removing the existing asphalt court and goal posts, new sub-grading, and the construction of a new asphalt court with sport court surfacing, new basketball posts and goals, and a concrete mow strip around the court's perimeter.

Thomas Teasdale Park is open to the public year-round, with its picnic shelter available for reservations from May 1 to September 30. The park's convenient location and diverse amenities make it a popular spot for community gatherings, family outings, and various sports activities.
