Maplewood Estates Neighborhood Park

Maplewood Park is a 2.2-acre green space located in the Maplewood Glen development, west of the Maplewood Golf Course in Renton, Washington. The park is situated just north of Maple Valley Highway near Maplewood Place SE.

Given its relatively small size and limited street parking, Maplewood Park primarily serves the residents of the surrounding neighborhood. The park provides a quiet, local recreational area for nearby families and individuals to enjoy outdoor activities.

In 2024, the City of Renton initiated plans to renovate the playground at Maplewood Park. The project aims to replace aging equipment and safety surfacing, slightly enlarge the play area, and introduce new features to enhance both enjoyment and safety for young visitors. The city is exploring options to increase shade in this section of the park, potentially through tree plantings.

The park's location on the outskirts of a sprawling suburb, with no other houses beyond its garden, creates a sense of being at the edge of the urban area where the woods begin.
