Trolley Hill Park

Trolley Hill Park is a public green space located in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. The park was established in 2002 and covers an area of approximately 0.87 acres. Its name is derived from the historical context of the area, as 5th Avenue N, which runs adjacent to the park, was once a main trolley line that operated from 1890 to 1940.

The park features a unique layout that incorporates both natural and community-oriented elements. One of its most prominent features is a P-Patch community garden, where local residents can cultivate their own plants and vegetables. This garden space contributes to the park's role as a community gathering place and promotes urban agriculture.

Trolley Hill Park is designed with multiple levels, taking advantage of the natural topography of Queen Anne Hill. Visitors can find a picnic area for outdoor dining and relaxation. The park also includes a natural play area, providing a space for children to engage with the environment in a less structured setting than traditional playgrounds.

At one of the park's entrances, two stone pillars stand adorned with wood carvings, adding a distinctive artistic touch to the space. These features serve as a welcoming landmark for park visitors and contribute to the park's character.

The park's location on the eastern edge of Queen Anne Hill offers visitors glimpses of the surrounding urban landscape, including partial views of the Seattle skyline from certain vantage points within the park.
