Delridge Playfield

Delridge Playfield is a 14-acre park located in the Delridge neighborhood of West Seattle, Washington. The park has been a public property since 1912 and has undergone several transformations over the years. Initially serving as a local school site, it was temporarily converted into housing for mill workers during World War II before being developed into the community recreation space it is today.

The playfield is situated adjacent to the Delridge Community Center, which was built in 1992. The park features large open lawn spaces ideal for activities such as playing catch or flying kites. It is characterized by its lush, green landscape and big trees that provide ample shade.

In late 2023, the park underwent significant improvements. The field now boasts a state-of-the-art synthetic turf system and enhanced accessibility with improved pathways. The park grounds offer a mix of recreational facilities catering to various interests and age groups.

Delridge Playfield serves as a hub for community activities and sports. It hosts a variety of programs, including organized sports leagues, and provides space for both structured and unstructured play.
