Bagley Viewpoint is a small park located in the North Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. This viewpoint offers stunning vistas of the surrounding area.
The park serves as the original western entry point for Interlaken Boulevard, which was part of the 1903 Olmsted Brothers plan for Seattle's park system. Bagley Viewpoint overlooks the SR 520 floating bridge, Lake Washington, and the city of Bellevue in the distance. On clear days, visitors can also see the University of Washington stadium from this vantage point.
With its convenient parking lot, Bagley Viewpoint is a popular spot for locals to spend their lunch hour or take a short break to enjoy the panoramic views. The park is open from 4:00 AM to 11:30 PM daily, allowing visitors to experience both daytime and nighttime views of the Seattle area.
Bagley Viewpoint is named after H.B. Bagley, a prominent figure in Seattle's early history. Bagley was a homeopathic physician, bank director, and city councilman who served in 1879 and 1880. He was also involved in early efforts to develop what is now known as the Lake Washington Ship Canal.
