About Brown's Park in Spokane Valley
Browns Park is an 8.2-acre recreational area located at the corner of Pines Road and 32nd Avenue in Spokane Valley, Washington. The park has undergone significant improvements and renovations since 2015, transforming it into a multifaceted community space that caters to various interests and age groups.
One of the park's standout features is its extensive sand volleyball complex. With 16 professional-quality sand volleyball courts, Browns Park has become a regional destination for volleyball enthusiasts. These courts, equipped with pro-quality nets and premium white sand, are programmed by the Evergreen Region Volleyball Association (ERVA) in partnership with Spokane Valley Parks and Recreation.
The park also includes features that appeal to families and children. A playground area with new equipment and swings was installed in the summer of 2021, providing a fun space for younger visitors. Additionally, the park boasts a splash pad that operates from May 15 to October 15, offering a refreshing spot for warm-weather play.
For sports enthusiasts, Browns Park offers a full-sized basketball court. Skateboarders can enjoy a small skate area known as a "skate dot," which provides some basic features for skateboarding practice. The park also includes a perimeter walking path, allowing visitors to stroll or jog around the park's circumference.
To accommodate gatherings and picnics, Browns Park features multiple picnic shelters. These include a large red shelter and a smaller green shelter, which can be reserved for events. The park also provides restroom facilities for visitor convenience.
Browns Park's development has been guided by a master plan, with improvements implemented in phases since 2015. These enhancements have transformed the park into a vibrant community space that serves both as a neighborhood park and a regional attraction for sand volleyball.
