About Dubois Park in Vancouver
DuBois Park is a 3.5-acre neighborhood park located in central Vancouver, Washington. The park is situated in the DuBois Park neighborhood, bounded by Palo Alto Drive and California Drive.
This forested park features a unique treehouse-themed playground, which includes multiple slides and climbing structures designed for different age ranges. One of the park's notable attractions is a multi-use disc swing, providing an entertaining play option for visitors.
DuBois Park serves as one of the three trailheads for the Blandford Canyon Nature Trail. This primitive trail offers dirt and wood chip surfaces with easy-to-moderate terrain, allowing park visitors to explore the surrounding natural area.
The park's history is tied to the development of the area. It was originally part of a planned community constructed by the Vancouver Housing Authority in the Heights area after World War II. The park is named after the DuBois family, who started the original mill on Salmon Creek around 1885 before moving their business to Vancouver shortly after.
DuBois Park is open daily from 5 AM to 10 PM, providing ample time for community members to enjoy its facilities and natural surroundings.
