Nakoma Park

Nakoma Park is a 5.21-acre neighborhood park located in Madison, Wisconsin. This public green space serves as a recreational hub for the Nakoma community and surrounding areas. The park is open daily from 4:00 AM to 10:00 PM, providing ample time for visitors to enjoy its facilities.

The park features a unique arrangement with Thoreau Elementary School, established over 30 years ago. During school hours, the playground area is reserved for school use, while outside of school hours, it becomes available for public enjoyment. This shared-use agreement maximizes the utility of the space for both students and local residents.

In addition to its playground, Nakoma Park offers various recreational facilities for visitors of all ages.
