South Shore Park

South Shore Park is a 47.4-acre public park located along the shores of Lake Michigan in the Bay View neighborhood of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The park offers stunning views of Lake Michigan and the Milwaukee skyline, making it a popular destination for both residents and visitors.

The park features a mix of natural and developed areas. Its shoreline includes a sandy beach area, though swimming is not always permitted due to water quality concerns. A paved multi-use trail, part of the Oak Leaf Trail system, runs through the park and connects it to other lakefront parks and neighborhoods.

South Shore Park contains several recreational facilities. There is a playground with equipment for children of different age groups, as well as sand volleyball courts. The park also includes open grassy areas suitable for picnicking and informal sports.

One of the park's notable features is the South Shore Terrace, a beer garden operated by Milwaukee County Parks in partnership with MillerCoors. The Terrace is housed in a historic 1930s era bathhouse building and serves as a popular gathering spot, offering food, beverages, and lakefront views.

The park is home to the South Shore Yacht Club, which maintains a marina adjacent to the park. A public boat launch is also available for visitors wishing to access Lake Michigan.
